LOUISVILLE ENTREPRENEUR USES HIS “SUPER” POWERS TO HELP WHIP UP SOME MAGIC IN THE KITCHEN
(Louisville, KY) Then there was ONE left standing! Chef Darnell “Superchef” Ferguson “carves” his name in the Food Network’s Ultimate Thanksgiving Challenge by winning Sunday’s finale hosted by Chef Giada De Laurentiis and judged by celebrity chefs Alex Guarnaschelli, Christian Petroni and Carla Hall.
The competition started with five chefs from all over the U.S. The final challenge was a battle between Darnell and Deborah with “Superchef”. The theme was “A Feast to Remember”. Darnell had three hours to make a full Thanksgiving feast. Halfway through the challenge De Laurentiis added a sweet dish to contest “Superchef” created a banana pudding ice cake which sealed the deal on the win and he walked away with a cool $25,000 cash prize and the bragging rights for a year.
