The VIPP Report: The husband of Bravo’s Housewives of Atlanta Phaedra Parks will have to turn himself into federal custody. The U.S. Department of Justice Georgia, Atlanta Division paperwork says Apollo Nida, 35, will voluntarily surrender on September 10th at 12:00 p.m. He will serve his eight year prison sentence at the FMC Lexington. Yes, that’s in the state of Kentucky.
I’m looking at the letter and its dated August 26th and stamped by a federal court on August 27th. Nida was sentenced on July 8th of this year to eight years in prison followed by five years of supervised release for conspiring to commit mail, wire and bank fraud. His initial arrest was in January and he pleaded guilty in May for charges in a fraud scheme where millions of dollars was stolen over a four year time period with at least 50 victims according to federal prosecutors.
Following Nida’s stay in a Lexington, Ky prison he will have a five years of supervised release, known to many as probation.
This is Nida’s second stint in federal prison. He served five years for auto title fraud. This was prior to his marriage to reality star and attorney Phaedra Parks.
