The VIPP Report: The Kingdom Choir will perform in Kentucky

They were introduced to the world when they performed “Stand By Me” at the 2018 Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.

Now, The Kingdom Choir announces their North American tour.  On Wednesday, October 16th they will travel to Louisville  and perform at Brown Theatre.

Founded in 1994. The choir draws their inspiration from various Christian traditions and is dedicated to creating a sound that reflects the community.

Tickets start at $25.00 for the two hour show.

Two young ladies crowned in Louisville will represent the Commonwealth of Kentucky for the next year

(Louisville, KY) On Saturday, June 8th at the Brown Theatre in Louisville Miss Kentucky and Miss Kentucky’s Outstanding Teen announced who would represent Kentucky in the Miss America and Miss America’s Outstanding Teen competitions.

Miss Kentucky 2019

Lexington native Alex Francke was crowned Miss Kentucky Saturday night in Louisville.  She will represent the Commonwealth of Kentucky at the Miss America competition. The official dates will be announced by the Miss America officials in the coming days.

Landry Feldmeier was crowned Miss Kentucky’s Outstanding Teen. She will present Kentucky at the 2019 MAOTeen Competition in Orlando, Florida on July 23, 24, 25 & 27th at the Linda Chapin Theatre in the Orange County Convention Center.

 

MissKentuckyTeenPageantThe Miss Kentucky and Miss Kentucky’s Outstanding Teen programs empower young women across Kentucky through pageantry.  The participants develop leadership skills and confidence as they work to achieve their biggest goals in life.  The Miss Kentucky Scholarship Organization continues to develop role models for communities not only in Kentucky, but the world.

Dr. Ashley D. Anderson, Executive Director for the competition and President of the Miss Kentucky board says “We had an outstanding week from the “Kickoff to the Crown” where the community met the participants during an event at Fourth Street Live, to the crowning of the two ladies who will represent Kentucky for the next year.  Our judges had a very difficult task, but they chose two great young women that Kentucky will be proud of.  We have no doubt that on the national stage these two will make us proud.”

(Louisville, KY) Tickets are now on sale for the Miss Kentucky and Miss Kentucky’s Outstanding Teen competitions being held at the Brown Theatre, 315 W. Broadway June 5th-8th in downtown Louisville, Kentucky.

This is the official state preliminaries of the Miss America and Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Scholarship Organization.

These programs empower young women across Kentucky through pageantry to develop the leadership skills and confidence to achieve their biggest goals in life.  The Miss Kentucky Scholarship Organization continues to develop role models for communities not only in Kentucky but the world.

Awarding over $70,000 in cash scholarships and over $2 million in inkind scholarships, the Miss Kentucky Scholarship Organization is a celebration of the talent, scholastic achievement and commitment to service of Kentucky’s finest young women. The VIPP Report: Comedian Eddie Griffin announces date of Louisville show

The actor/comedian will be in Louisville at the Brown Theatre on Saturday, July 21st.  In February, Showtime premiered his fifth stand-up special, Eddie Griffin: Undeniable and now fans can see him live on stage.

In 1990, Griffin took a dare to get up in front of an audience in a comedy club and do three minutes of stand up. Needless to say some 45 minutes later the choreographer for the Kansas City Chiefs half-time shows hung up his dance shoes and headed to Los Angeles with a one-way ticket to pursue his gift to make people laugh. Some 28 years later, Griffin continues to make people laugh on television and venues across the country.

Tickets for Eddie Griffin’s Louisville show at the Brown Theatre start at $45.  They go on sale at 10:00 am on Friday, May 18th.

Comedian and actor Lavell Crawford will be at the Brown Theatre on Friday, June 24th.  Currently, he has an one-hour special on Netflix entitled LAVELL CRAWFORD: CAN A BROTHER GET SOME LOVE.  Comedienne Dominique will open the show.
